As a CAD RC Detailer specialized in bridges, you will play a critical role in creating accurate and detailed drawings and models for reinforced concrete bridge structures. Your expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software will be essential in producing construction-ready plans that adhere to engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.**Responsibilities**:
**Bridge Detailing**: Generate precise and comprehensive drawings for reinforced concrete/ Steel bridge components, such as beams, girders, piers, abutments, decks, and other structural elements, ensuring compliance with design requirements.
- Drawing, developing plans, developing details, following checking and self-checking process, issuing drawings to internal and external clients, and managing electronic information.
- Preparing structural 3D models and extracting 2D drawings or as required.**CAD Software Proficiency**: Utilize CAD software, including specialized bridge design detailing tools like Auto Cad, Microstation 2D/3D, Tekla, CADS RC and similar proficiently to create 2D and 3D models of bridge structures.**Compliance and Quality Assurance**: Review and verify drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant industry codes, bridge design standards, and safety guidelines.**Collaboration**: Collaborate with bridge engineers, structural designers, and other team members to resolve design challenges, incorporate design modifications, and ensure seamless integration of all components.**Communication**: Effectively communicate with the project team, providing regular progress updates, discussing technical aspects, and addressing any concerns related to the bridge detailing.**Continuous Learning**: Stay abreast of industry developments, new CAD tools, and emerging trends in bridge design and detailing.
Conversant with UK Detailing guidelines (BS 8666, CIRIA 543etc.)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the field of bridge detailing
- Deliver projects in accordance with quality & timescale.**Educational Background**: A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related fields is preferred. However, substantial experience and specialised training in bridge detailing using CAD software will also be considered.**CAD Proficiency**: Demonstrated expertise in using CAD software, particularly with a focus on bridge detailing tools, is essential. Proficiency in CADs RC, Open Bridge Modeller, Auto CAD, MicroStation etc.**Bridge Engineering Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of bridge engineering principles, including reinforcement detailing for bridges, load distribution, and construction practices specific to bridge structures.**Attention to Detail**: A keen eye for detail and precision in creating accurate bridge drawings and models.**Communication Skills**: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and convey technical information clearly.
