Tbm Operator

As a TBM Operator, the person will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the TBM during tunneling project.
- Operate and control the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) according to project specifications and guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain proper machine performance, including cutter head rotation, thrust, cutter disc changes, and other parameters as required.
- Collaborate with the TBM maintenance team to ensure regular equipment inspection, maintenance, and repairs, while identifying and reporting any operational issues promptly.
- Interpret technical drawings, project plans, and geological information to ensure accurate alignment and advancement of the TBM.
- Maintain accurate records of tunneling progress, machine performance, and daily activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations to minimize risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
- Coordinate with other members of the construction team, including engineers, geologists, and surveyors, to optimize tunneling operations.
- Troubleshoot and address minor mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues that may arise during operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to provide updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in training new TBM operators and other personnel on TBM operations and safety procedures.
