Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Preparation of Shared cost journals and post the cost to respective profit centers.
- Assist various departments in costing and project accounting related issues and queries.
- Looking after and maintaining the project reports. Analyzing all project expenses and providing commentary
- Set standard costs for all products and direct the implementation of cost accounting methods and activities
- Oversee the cost control systems, manage, and interpret cost audits, and prepare cost accounting reports for presentation to upper management
- Report on breakeven points, margins, and periodic variances by products and profit centers
- Investigate variances and resolve issues, working with the production manager to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory
- Experience in month end closing entries-including accruals, recurring journals, reclassification, corrections, Recon reclass.
- Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.
- Support and assist auditor during internal and external audits as and when required.
- Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures.
- Review and updating of SOP’s documents on regular basis or as and when required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong ability to communicate in English both in written and verbal forms.
- CMA equivalent qualification.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in costing and project accounting activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including discretion, tact and courtesy
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Focus on Quality and possess good analytical skills
- Ability to organize, meet strict deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team,
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities.
