Position Overview:
As the Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the product. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify and draft user stories for development, collaborate with the engineering team to build the user stories, coordinate with the testing team to generate test cases and execute them and work with third party processors to integrate. Experience of building products / modules in core banking systems and / or payments hubs will be a strong advantage in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

Define and prioritize the product backlog based on customer and market needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements.

Act as the bridge between stakeholders, including customers, development teams, and leadership, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.

Conduct daily scrum calls, make informed decisions based on available information, manage project timelines, and uphold Agile practices

Key role in crafting user stories, creating flowcharts, and assisting in test case creation, contributing to a comprehensive product development process.

Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, user-friendly payment solutions.

Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions for improvements.

Manage the product release process, including planning, coordination, and communication with stakeholders.

Confidently conduct product demos of payment systems for internal teams or customers and actively seek and incorporate constructive feedback.

Work closely with compliance and security teams to ensure that payment systems adhere to regulatory and security standards.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or an MBA with an engineering or technology background

Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role in the banking and payments industry, with demonstrable experience in one of the below

Strong product development experience in core banking platforms and / or payment hubs

Experience in building deposit or lending modules in a core banking platform

Experience in building payment products for one of the US / Europe / India / International payment systems

Good understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency in product management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize effectively
