**Melting Supervisor**

Location: Coimbatore

Qualification: ITI / Diploma

Experience: 2 - 4 Years

Package: 2.50 Lacs - 3.00 Lacs

**Number of Vacancies: 5**

Reporting to the Foundry Manager, the Supervisor will work on a Shift working pattern with a team of employees to ensure production targets are met and carried out in a timely and controlled manner
with a high regard to health and safety, production quality and the production schedule.
The Foundry Melt Supervisor is responsible for the quantities of molten metal to a high specification in line with the Foundry daily and weekly casting programme whilst managing a team of Furnace man and Ladle men.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Ø To assess and oversee furnace /ladle repairs

Ø To have quality control of molten metal in accordance with laid down technical specifications

Ø Responsible for all aspects of health and safety for all activities

Ø Carry out risk assessments and complete standard operating procedures

Ø To understand Company policies and procedures

Ø Supervisor manpower, manage and motivate team of operators

Ø Measurement and assessment of cycle time achievement

Ø Producing reports for Senior Management

Ø Project improvement work

Ø Carry out employee appraisals, reviews, disciplinary, grievance and absence management cases
Monitor performance of team, coach and support where performance is not at required standard

Ø To assist in recruitment of team members, identify manpower requirement and assist in redeployment
where resource is required

Ø Identify training needs and organise the delivery of on the job skills and safety training

Ø To complete shift paperwork

Ø To operate within the departments budgeted expenses

Ø Ensuring best manufacturing practices are maintained and continuously improved

Ø To assist with production as necessary

Ø Coordinate production start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers

Ø Ensure that all hygiene, health and safety regulations are being observed by staff

Ø To carry out any reasonable request as directed by the and Foundry Manager
