**Description**

Principal Accountabilities:

- Addresses database issues as assigned utilizing ticket system.
- Collaborates with Lead Database Engineer to maintain database size and scalability by evaluating database performance and trends, as well as w/ other database engineers to create robust, scalable database structures & queries.
- Creates primary database storage structures (tablespaces) and modifies the database structure, as necessary, from information given by Software Engineers or within DB ticket.
- Follows SQL standards and guidelines, and answers technical and procedural questions from users.
- Implements and monitors database user access and ownership (create, read, update, and delete).
- Maintains archived data on storage mechanisms as instructed by direct supervisor.
- Maintains databases on a set schedule provided by direct supervisor.

Skills & Software Requirements:
MS SQL DBA- familiarity with SQLServer Management studio, familiarity with IDERA, SCOM, DMP, Familiarity with Window clustering; Oracle DBA-Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, SQL, LINUX, Export/Import.
