The ICU Staff Nurse position at Mukat Hospital in Chandigarh involves providing specialized care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The role demands proficiency in advanced nursing techniques, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- **Patient Monitoring & Care**: Continuously assess and monitor critically ill patients, including recording vital signs and observing for any changes in their condition.
- **Advanced Nursing Procedures**: Perform essential procedures such as catheterization, cannulation, intubation, and arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling.
- **Emergency Response**: Administer CPR and other life-saving interventions during emergencies.
- **Medication Administration**: Administer prescribed medications and adjust dosages as per physicians’ orders, ensuring accurate documentation.
- **Equipment Management**: Operate and monitor ICU equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors, ensuring they are functioning correctly.
- **Documentation & Reporting**: Maintain detailed patient records and update clinical documentation regularly.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare staff to provide comprehensive patient.
- **Patient & Family Education**: Educate patients and their families about ongoing medical conditions and post-hospital care requirements.
