**Job Description: Computer Facility Manager**

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Facility Operations**: Manage day-to-day operations of the computer facility, including monitoring environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, power), ensuring proper ventilation, and responding to any facility-related issues promptly.
- **IT Infrastructure**: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, servers, networking equipment, and other IT infrastructure components within the facility.
- **Security and Compliance**: Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard the facility and its contents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- **Emergency Preparedness**: Develop and execute contingency plans to address power outages, hardware failures, and other emergencies to minimize downtime and data loss.
- **Resource Allocation**: Efficiently allocate resources such as power, space, and cooling to optimize the facility's operational efficiency and minimize costs.
- **Team Management**: Lead a team of technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- **Vendor Relationships**: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for equipment maintenance, repairs, and procurement.
- **Capacity Planning**: Monitor facility resources and plan for future expansion to accommodate growing IT needs.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance activities, and facility-related procedures.
- **Innovation and Improvement**: Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, recommending and implementing new technologies and best practices to enhance facility operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, data center operations, or facility management.
- Strong understanding of networking, server hardware, cooling systems, and power distribution.
- Proficiency in facility monitoring tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Effective communication and leadership skills for managing teams and collaborating with cross-functional departments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a secure and organized computer facility.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data center operations and security.
