**Job Summary**:
The ICU Staff Nurse at Ford Hospital is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will monitor, assess, and provide specialized care using advanced clinical skills and critical thinking, ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital standards.

**Key Responsibilities:Patient Care**:

- Provide continuous, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, clinical conditions, and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and injections as per physician orders.
- Manage and operate life-support equipment including ventilators, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
- Identify and respond promptly to emergency situations (Code Blue, cardiac arrest, etc.).

**Clinical & Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and detailed nursing notes and patient care records.
- Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergency interventions.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
- Ensure proper shift handover and continuity of care.

**Coordination & Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards of the nursing profession.

**Equipment & Environment Management**:

- Check and ensure all ICU equipment is in working condition at the start of each shift.
- Report any equipment malfunction immediately to the biomedical department.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of ICU beds and equipment.

**Professional Development**:

- Participate in ongoing training, skill enhancement, and nursing education programs.
- Stay updated on ICU protocols, emergency procedures, and hospital policies.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: B.Sc Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- **Registration**: Registered Nurse and Midwife (RN/RM) with the State Nursing Council.
- **Experience**: Minimum 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care unit.
- **Skills Required**:

- Proficiency in critical care procedures and emergency response.
- Strong assessment and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Knowledge of ICU equipment and infection control practices.

**Work Schedule**:

- Rotational shifts (Morning, Evening, Night).
- Availability for emergency and weekend duties as required.

**Salary**:
Commensurate with experience and hospital norms.
