Electrical Designer

A solar design engineer cum site technician is responsible for designing and implementing solar energy systems, as well as working on-site during the installation and maintenance phases. This role combines the expertise of a design engineer with the practical skills of a site technician to ensure successful commissioning of the solar projects.

**Site Assessment and Survey**: Conduct thorough on-site surveys to evaluate the suitability of a location for solar installations. This involves taking dimensions of the entire area, marking geo-location,, roof condition, structural integrity, electrical infrastructure, and any other relevant site-specific considerations.

**Solar System Design**: Utilize the data collected from site surveys to develop detailed drawing using Sketchup and / OR AutoCAD. and designing the building layout in Sketchup. Sketchup requirement is MUST.

**Installation and Maintenance**: Perform the installation of solar energy systems, including mounting solar panels, connecting electrical components, and ensuring proper wiring and grounding. Conduct routine maintenance activities such as cleaning solar panels, inspecting electrical connections, and testing system performance.

**Troubleshooting, Maintenance and Repairs**: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues that may arise in solar energy systems, including identifying faulty components, wiring problems, or performance issues. Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to restore system functionality.

**Electrical Wiring and Connections**: Install and connect electrical components of solar systems, including inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and monitoring equipment. Ensure proper wiring and adherence to electrical codes and safety standards.

**System Testing and Commissioning**: Perform testing and commissioning of solar energy systems to ensure proper functionality, efficiency, and compliance with specifications. This includes verifying electrical connections, conducting performance tests, & installing and configuring remote monitoring and coordinating with inverter support, in order to hand over the system to the end client.

**Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of installation details, maintenance activities, and repairs performed. Prepare reports and documentation for clients details and Conveyance Sheet.

**Equipment and Inventory Management**: Monitor & update inventory levels of every site in regards to solar equipment, tools, and supplies. Coordinate with back end office to procure necessary materials and maintain an organized inventory system.

**Health and Safety Compliance**: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and regulations. Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures to mitigate risks associated with solar installations.

**Customer Support**: Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients, addressing their queries and concerns related to solar system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Offer recommendations for system upgrades or improvements to enhance energy efficiency.

Overall, a solar design engineer cum site technician plays a vital role in the successful implementation, installations, operation, and maintenance of solar energy projects, combining design expertise with practical on-site skills to deliver efficient and quality installations, providing troubleshooting support, to maximize the performance and longevity of solar systems & delivering reliable, and sustainable solar installations.

**Salary**: ₹16,500.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
