**Job Summary**:
The Boiler Supervisor oversees the operation, maintenance, and safety of boiler systems within a facility. They are responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of boilers to meet production needs while adhering to safety regulations and environmental standards. The role involves supervising a team of boiler operators, conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating maintenance activities.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Supervise Boiler Operations**: Direct and oversee the operation of boiler systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- **Team Management**: Lead a team of boiler operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively and safely.
- **Maintenance Coordination**: Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and repairs, to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- **Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve boiler malfunctions and operational issues promptly to minimize production disruptions and maintain a safe working environment.
- **Safety Compliance**: Enforce safety procedures and protocols to mitigate risks associated with boiler operations, including conducting safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety awareness among staff.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing boiler operation, emissions, and environmental protection.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, inspections, and safety incidents for reporting and documentation purposes.
- **Budget Management**: Monitor expenses related to boiler operations and maintenance, making cost-effective decisions to optimize efficiency without compromising safety or reliability.
- **Training and Development**: Provide training and development opportunities for boiler operators to enhance their skills, knowledge, and competency in operating and maintaining boiler systems.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly to emergency situations such as equipment failures, leaks, or accidents, implementing contingency plans to minimize risks and ensure the safety of personnel and property.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in boiler operations or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in boiler operation and maintenance, with at least [insert number] years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proficiency in understanding and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics related to boiler systems.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to boiler operations, including ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team, interact with stakeholders, and convey technical information clearly.

- Certification as a Boiler Operator or Supervisor (where applicable) preferred.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift heavy objects in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
- Comfort working in confined spaces and at heights, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to operate equipment, perform inspections, and read gauges accurately.
