**Designation offered** : Communications Intern (Sustainability Cartoons)

**Team **:Outreach

**Internship location **:New Delhi, India

**Reporting to **:Sr Communications Specialist & Archivist

**Duration **:3 months (extendable basis mutual agreement)

**Purpose**

To support the Sr Communications Specialist & Archivist on a range of communication activities including, but not limited to, generating cartoon ideas for ‘What On Earth’ building the property with with sober, but effective cartooning on sustainability issues, and plan innovative dissemination and engagments so What On Earth is seen and becomes a conversation piece. As well as using cartoons and comics to bring science communication into the main stream though memorable characters and products.

**Deliverables and responsibilities**
- Ideate and deliver cartoons weekly. You may
- develop a pipeline of cartoons for What On Earth
- Develop and deploy outreach plans for the cartoons to reach more screens.
- Support in using cartoons to create more innovative cartoon products. Include smart animations.
- Identify and liaise with external agencies and vendors with support from the team
- Research contemporary cartooning trends used by organisations across sectors

**Qualifications**
- Master's/Bachelor's degree or Diploma in art/ commercial art/ cartooning or prior published cartoons incase this is pursued as an interest

Work experience and other skills
- 0-1 years experience in cartooning, idea generation, following cartooning and communication trends
- Prior experience with Canva, Mailchimp and Google Suite
- A strong design sense and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills — Above-average language skills in spoken and written English, and a reasonable grasp of spoken and written Hindi
- The ability to research and digest best-of-class communication ideas as well as the knowledge to liaison with third-party vendors
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
- Ability to adhere to (and manage multiple) timelines

**Remuneration**
