**Responsibilities**:

- **Supplier Management**:

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers of raw materials, components, and services required for the forging process.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness.
- **Procurement Operations**:

- Source and purchase raw materials, including steel, alloys, and other forging materials, according to production requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with manufacturing schedules and specifications.
- **Negotiation and Contracts**:

- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms for the organization.
- Review and analyze supplier proposals, contracts, and agreements to mitigate risks and optimize procurement outcomes.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables, and place orders accordingly to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Implement inventory control measures and processes to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards for purchased materials and components.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements and industry regulations.
- **Cost Analysis and Reporting**:

- Analyze procurement costs, trends, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in procurement practices, including vendor selection, contracting, and purchasing activities.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions, geopolitical factors, and market fluctuations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the forging or metalworking industry.
- Solid understanding of forging processes, materials, and specifications.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost savings and value-added initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and procurement software.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
