We are seeking an experienced **Copy Editor (Language Editor)** to ensure high editorial standards and language quality for academic, scientific, and professional publishing projects. The role involves improving readability, clarity, and consistency of manuscripts while adhering to client-specific style guides and global publishing standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Edit manuscripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, and overall language accuracy.
- Enhance readability, flow, and clarity while preserving the author’s intent.
- client-specific style guides (e.g., APA, AMA, Chicago, etc.) and ensure consistency.
- Identify and resolve ambiguities, redundancies, and factual inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with authors, project managers, and production teams to address editorial queries.
- Check and validate references, tables, figures, and citations for accuracy and style compliance.
- Ensure error-free content delivery across formats (Word, XML, PDF).
- Provide quality feedback and contribute to process improvements in editorial workflows.

**Requirements**:

- Strong command of English grammar, usage, and editorial styles.
- Proven experience as a **Language Editor / Copy Editor** in publishing, academic, or STM content.
- Familiarity with style manuals (AMA, APA, Chicago, MLA, etc.) and publishing conventions.
- Ability to edit content for both correctness and readability.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Experience in XML/Word/PDF workflows will be an advantage.
