We combine cutting-edge molecular and synthetic biology, machine learning, device engineering, and manufacturing to deliver transformative solutions. Many previous attempts to solve cancer have come up short - we intend to be the first to _actually _solve it. We’re looking for passionate team members who want to shape the future of medicine.

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a **highly skilled and detail-oriented Molecular Biologist** to join our dynamic laboratory team. You will be responsible for designing and executing lab experiments involving cell culture, nucleic acid manipulation, and various bioassays. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemistry, data science, and engineering, to integrate your findings into our broader R&D pipeline.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. **Experimental Design & Planning**
- Develop and optimize experimental strategies for molecular biology projects, including PCR, sequencing, gene expression, and related assays.
- Collaborate with senior scientists and cross-functional teams to understand project objectives and align experimental approaches.

2. **Laboratory Techniques & Assays**
- Perform routine and advanced molecular biology techniques.
- Conduct bacterial and/or mammalian cell culture, transformation, transfection, and related cell-based assays where applicable.
- Prepare reagents, buffers, and media required for molecular biology assays, following standardized protocols and safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot experimental issues and optimize protocols to enhance reproducibility and data quality.

3. **Data Collection & Analysis**
- Accurately record experimental procedures, observations, and results in electronic lab notebooks or other documentation systems.
- Interpret and analyze experimental data, employing relevant bioinformatics tools when necessary.
- Summarize findings in clear, concise reports and presentations for team discussions and stakeholder updates.

4. **Equipment & Laboratory Maintenance**
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Monitor inventory of reagents and consumables, and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace, adhering to good laboratory practices (GLP).

5. **Quality Control & Compliance**
- Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., GLP, GMP, ISO) to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Participate in lab audits and inspections, and assist in the development and review of SOPs to maintain high-quality standards.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

6. **Collaboration & Communication**
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., bioinformatics, microbiology, chemistry, immunology) to support multifaceted research projects.
- Present results at team meetings, contribute to manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed publications, and assist in drafting research grant proposals when needed.
- Offer guidance and training to junior team members or interns on molecular biology techniques and best practices.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Master’s or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience will also be considered.
- **Experience**: 1-3 years (for an associate-level) or 3-5 years (for a senior associate-level) experience in a molecular/cell biology lab—industry or academic.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in cell culture techniques (adherent and suspension lines).
- Solid knowledge of molecular biology protocols.
- Familiarity with nucleic acid-based selection methods is highly desirable.
- Comfortable operating lab equipment (centrifuges, pipettes, biosafety cabinets, PCR machines, etc.).
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication—both written and verbal—and ability to present data clearly.
- Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work in interdisciplinary teams and adapt quickly to evolving project needs.
