About the Role We are seeking a Field Associate to join our team for a behavior change research project on regenerative agriculture across 4500 villages in Punjab’s 18 districts targeting ethnographic research, environmental conservation, and participatory engagement approaches and is passionate about working on environmental/social impact. Given the cultural and linguistic diversity of the landscapes, we would be specifically interested in Key Responsibilities - The field coordinator will interact with farmers, village communities, and program nodal persons to gather information & data from the field - Provide visual documentation of fields, farming activities, and project-related interventions - Derive insights and provide research support to Vertiver - Should have sound knowledge of Agronomical practices following in the Punjab region. - Test and validate on-ground communication tools with community members and the program team - Maintain all field data, records, and files and submit various reports as required. - Interaction with women farmers is a critical part of the field coordinator’s role, in assessing women's role in sustainable agricultural practices - Fluent in Punjabi and preferably living in the project target districts Qualification - Post graduate in agriculture/related field is a must - At least 2 years of work experience in a similar field as well as in the Punjab region CRM(crop residue management/ Related activities in CRM Punjab). - Should have computer knowledge and efficiency in MS Office 360 with google sheets and internet surfing - Should have Public speaking knowledge with farmers field work experience. - Verbal and written communication in Punjabi depending on the landscape is a key requirement for this position. - Having DL(driving license) are more preferable. - Having women empowerment experience add more preference. - Experience of working with rural or low-income communities - Experience in qualitative data collection - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Passion for environmental advocacy. - Local from Area: cluster (Patiala, Malerkotla, Sangrur, Barnala, Mansa, and Bathinda) will be preferred.
