Position Overview:
The Communication Associate position will be based in New Delhi Country office and will be reporting to Officer - Communications. This Position would require travelling to our state offices.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Content Development
- Develop content (copy and photographs) and design for Annual Report, Corporate Brochures, Literacy Brochures, Girls’ Education Program Brochures, RM&E and Quality Reading Material brochures.
- Develop content (copy and photographs) and design project brochures/infographics in coordination with Operations team.
- Develop copy and design for standees, banners and backdrops for programs/projects and state teams for various projects, events and campaigns.
- Raise Purchase Request and develop Terms of Reference for various upcoming initiatives in a timely manner.
- Branding Guidelines: Translation of various brand specific content in local languages and supporting states to disseminate the same.

Brand building and thought leadership.
- Assist in media management and communications of Room to Read India events.
- Assist in pre-production (complete research and recce) and postproduction of Room to Read films.
- Assist program and state teams on content and design of branding materials like standees, banners, backdrops, posters, etc.
- Assisting in Room to Read campaigns and events (both online and offline)

Internal Communications
- Coordinate, collate and submit media summary reports every month.
- Coordinate with Communications Point Person for stories for communications materials and social media every quarter
- Assist in developing content, both copy and photographs, for strategically important documents
- Assist in training of staff on communications needs as relevant.
- Assist in creating in-house videos for events, international days.
- Update resources such as SharePoint and Air with curated photographs and relevant documents as per the programs

Digital Media
- Assist in increasing visibility of Room to Read through social media viz, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- Assist in developing project/program/event/campaign specific social media promotion and dissemination plan.
- Assist in regular updation of the Room to Read India website.
- Coordinate the pre-work and actual roll out of campaigns for International and National days like National Girl Child Day, Republic Day, Independence Day, Literacy Day, Day of the Girl Child, Children’s’ Day, Teacher’s Day, etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Master's degree in relevant fields (International Relations, Communication or Journalist, Digital Communication, Marketing, Social Work etc.)
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience with NGOs or INGOs
- Editing and English writing skills, especially the ability to reduce large volumes of complex information into accessible and brief communication products.
- Strong public speaking skills for training and presentations
- Ability to travel frequently to states throughout country.
- Excellent inter-personable skills
- Excellent team-worker
- Ability to perform multi-task
- Self-motivated, flexible and able to work without close supervision.
- Honest and trustworthy
- Strong language skill in Hindi and English (Verbal & Written)
