Sensata Technologies’ Enterprise Information Management team (EIM - IT) is looking for an experienced data modeler who can help us modernize the reporting and analytics landscape. In this role you will be responsible for understanding the analytics requirements, explore the source systems and build the scalable agile data model.

This role will be working closely with IT Business Partners in understanding the Analytics requirements, prototype the data models with Data Architects using Eriwn or Vision, work with Integration team to build the pipelines on Oracle Integration Cloud or Informatica Powercenter. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Enterprise Information Management.

General Responsibilities
- Analyze and translate business needs into long-term solution data models by evaluating existing systems and working with a development team to create conceptual data models and data flows that address their needs.
- Maintain logical and physical data models along with accurate metadata.
- Perform data profiling/analysis activities that helps to establish, modify, and maintain data model.
- Work with data architects and database administrators to design computer databases and are at the forefront of data management measures that underpin organizational data structures.
- Engage with Business user/analyst to do detailed requirement gathering.
- Develop best practices for data design, ensure consistency within the system, and review modifications of existing cross-compatibility systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize data systems and evaluate implemented systems for variance discrepancies and efficiency.
- Support the usage of ETL and data visualization toolkit.
- Provide documentation of solution design, as well as end user training and change management communications at times.
- Support teams through all project phases including knowledge transition phase.
- Ensure and enforce a governance process and alignment to the defined architecture.

Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise BI design & development.
- Strong expertise in working with OBIEE RPD development.
- Strong expertise in ETL design & development.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
