**Position Overview**:
As the Counselor and Wellness Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering the overall well-being and academic success of our students. This multifaceted position combines traditional counseling responsibilities with the development and delivery of wellness education programs. You will work collaboratively with students, teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes mental health, emotional resilience, and healthy lifestyle habits.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Counseling Services**:

- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address a wide range of personal, social, and emotional concerns among students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop personalized intervention plans.
- Offer crisis intervention and support to students in times of emotional distress or crisis.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students' mental health and well-being.

**Wellness Education**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive wellness curriculum tailored to the needs of students at various grade levels.
- Teach classes or lead workshops on topics such as stress management, mindfulness, healthy relationships, and emotional intelligence.
- Integrate wellness education into the school curriculum and extracurricular activities to promote a culture of well-being throughout the school community.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in wellness education and incorporate new ideas and strategies into program development.

**Collaboration and Advocacy**:

- Collaborate with teachers to integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) principles into classroom instruction and school-wide initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for parents, offering guidance and support on parenting strategies and resources for supporting their children's well-being.
- Advocate for the holistic well-being of students within the school community and beyond, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equity in all aspects of school life.
