Treasury Assistant for a Leading Private Sector Bank
Job Purpose
1. To be complaint with the dealing room activities as prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India for all Treasury Front offices functions.
2. To undertake the repetitive, non-critical and operations oriented activities of the desk.
3. To ensure operational activities like committing rates in Treasury Front office system are within the operational TAT.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
The Junior assistant role in Treasury Advisory Group is responsible for
1. Engaging with the branch channel, relationship managers in the Wholesale segment and small ticket customers for rate booking.
2. Assist the Tagger in capturing trades (Booking or Cancellation) in the Front office system (MUREX or Dealpro) for cases where
a. Rates have been booked by the clients in advance before they are raised in the Treasury system.
b. Tagger has already confirmed the deal with the client.
c. Utilize contracts for transactions raised in Dealpro or swap charges for all cases of pre-utilization for that day
d. Cases where interaction with trade is required to get wrongly raised cases rectified
e. Capture of matching deals in Murex.
3. Covering position for those transactions where no client interaction is required.
4. Capture of closed orders on the CCIL platform in the Treasury Front office system.
5. Market hedge of internal to Bank positions (times of money, Visa card, master card, payments to rep offices, positions in market on account of reconciliation etc.
6. Hedge the open uncovered system positions for the desk through Dealpro centralized or centralized position cover.
7. Scope for the Vanilla Treasury Product offering across FX to a defined customer base of the Bank across the various units of the Bank.
8. The role is required to hedge the positions resultant from this engagement with the above and cover tenors up to cash, tom or spot.
The role’s objective is:
Ensure that timely rates are provided to the business segments.
Ensure revenue delivery as per the plan. Grow the business in each segment of the coverage, focusing on ROE for the Bank
Scope the small value customers for an increase in market and wallet share of FX business.
Strong relationships with, external and internal stakeholders
Focus on fulfillment of all treasury transactions in adherence to the Bank’s processes and policies
Handle transactions of all customers not allocated to any tag resources (due to very small size)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Objective:
Maximize revenue for the desk while handling all non-allocated customers
Relationship Management - external
Direct coverage of customers more at the operating level of the customer to ensure documentation etc.
Build relationships at the relevant levels of the customers and leverage the relationships for enhanced business.
Relationship Management - internal
Direct coverage of branch banking and Rm’s more at the operating level of the Bank.
Manage the internal stake holders, viz. relationship managers in various Business groups, Operations, etc. other units of treasury to achieve the objectives.
Internal Processes
Ensure fulfillment of all transactions in the given TAT, with zero error, while adhering to the process and policies of the Bank.
Hedging of all positions arising out of the transactions covered
Capturing all transactions in all the front office systems of the bank as per the policy.
Ensuring all treasury related documents are submitted by the customer in defined TAT
Follow the process of Suitability and Appropriateness policy of the Bank and adhere to the pre-defined processes
Working on data capture and generating the necessary MIS and reports for the desk like daily Pnl etc.
- Graduates with 2 years + expereince in Treasury Operation
- Aptitude and attitude to financial markets.
- Treasury product knowledge, including knowledge about pricing. Adequate knowledge of markets, with ability to interpret these data and use it for business opportunities

- Strong analytical and mathematical acumen, data interpretation skills
- 7. Good Relationship skills and sales management skills with a focus on customer delight
