Hotmix Plant Operator

The Hot Mix Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the machinery and equipment that produce hot mix asphalt. The operator ensures the proper production of asphalt according to quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. The operator monitors plant operations, makes necessary adjustments, performs routine maintenance, and works closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Operate Plant Equipment**:

- Operate and monitor the hot mix plant equipment, including asphalt mixers, conveyors, and loading systems.
- Adjust temperature, mix ratio, and other parameters to ensure consistent quality of the asphalt.
- **Material Handling**:

- Load, unload, and mix raw materials like aggregates, bitumen, and additives according to specific formulas.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent contamination and ensure quality.
- **Monitor Production**:

- Track and record production data, including quantities of materials used, temperatures, and mix formulas.
- Monitor plant performance to identify and resolve issues such as equipment malfunctions or material shortages.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform regular maintenance on plant equipment to ensure proper functioning, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn parts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or electrical issues, or coordinate with technicians for more complex repairs.
- **Quality Control**:

- Conduct regular quality checks of the asphalt produced to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Adjust the mix or production process as necessary to meet quality standards.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while operating the hot mix plant.
- Ensure the plant area is clean and free from hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any unsafe conditions to management and participate in safety meetings.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Keep accurate records of production, maintenance, and safety activities.
- Submit daily reports to supervisors, including production outputs, maintenance logs, and material usage.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other plant operators, truck drivers, and site supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of asphalt.
- Assist in training and guiding junior operators when needed.

Required Qualifications:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in plant operation is a plus.
- **Experience**: Previous experience working in a hot mix plant or similar environment is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Knowledge of hot mix asphalt production processes.
- Familiarity with plant equipment and machinery.
- Ability to monitor and control plant processes.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic understanding of safety standards and regulations.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
- Work in outdoor environments with exposure to weather conditions.

Work Environment:

- Hot mix plant operators work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Operators may be exposed to loud noises and fumes from the machinery.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
