Job Description: Academic Counselor Position Overview: As an Academic Counselor at Tutors Factory Home Tuitions, you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding students in their educational journey. You will provide individualized counseling and advice, helping students navigate academic challenges, set goals, and make informed decisions about their academic pursuits. Your expertise and guidance will contribute to the overall success and well-being of our students. Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students, addressing their academic concerns, interests, and goals. -Assist students in selecting appropriate courses, majors, and academic programs based on their aptitudes, interests, and career aspirations. -Help students develop personalized academic plans and monitor their progress towards meeting educational objectives. -Provide guidance on academic policies, procedures, and requirements, ensuring students have a clear understanding of academic expectations. -Assist students in resolving academic challenges, such as course scheduling conflicts, study skills improvement, and time management. -Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and other student support services to provide comprehensive academic support to students. -Conduct workshops or seminars on topics related to academic success, including study strategies, time management, and goal setting. -Stay updated on educational trends, curriculum changes, and career opportunities to provide accurate and relevant guidance to students. -Maintain accurate and confidential student records, documenting counseling sessions and interventions. -Participate in relevant professional development activities to enhance counseling skills and stay current with best practices. Qualifications: -Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field. -Previous experience in academic counseling or advising is highly preferred. -Strong knowledge of educational systems, academic requirements, and curriculum structures. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with students and effectively address their needs. -Empathetic and patient demeanor, with the ability to listen actively and provide non-judgmental support. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining student records and documentation. -Familiarity with educational resources, career exploration tools, and academic success strategies. -Ability to adapt to diverse student populations and provide culturally sensitive counseling. -Proficient computer skills and familiarity with student information systems or counseling software.
