**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Tool Design and Development**: Design and develop molds and tooling for injection molding and other plastic manufacturing processes to meet production requirements.
- **Maintenance and Repair**: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of existing molds to enhance performance and minimize downtime.
- **Process Optimization**: Analyze tooling processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and design teams to troubleshoot issues related to tooling and ensure alignment with product specifications.
- **Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive records of tooling designs, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.
- **Cost Control**: Assist in managing budgets for tooling projects, focusing on cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- **Safety Standards**: Ensure all tools and equipment comply with safety regulations and contribute to a safe working environment.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment, specifically in plastics and mold design.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with injection molding machinery and processes.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong focus on quality, precision, and adherence to specifications.
