- **Overview**:
We are looking for a PCB Designer for layout and/or schematics design to join our IoT engineering team.
- Schematic designing using tools like Eagle, Altium or similar PCB CAD software.
Interpreting datasheets and previously implemented schematics to suggest changes for improvements.
- Creating, merging and maintaining PCB component libraries as per requirement.
- Coordinate with PCB and component vendors to make proper component selections as per requirement to understand assembly requirements and resolve any manufacturing related issues.
- Helping in troubleshooting and doing RCA for faulty PCBs and suggesting solutions.
- Assist in preparing test procedures and developing test jigs to verify PCB functionality.
Coordinate and work with PCB layout designers to create the end product.
- Design calculation and guidelines consideration for track thickness, track length, isolation, Emi-EMC, thermal, DFM and DFT.
- Experience in interpreting datasheets and schematics to generate netlist(s) and proper constraints in the layout design
- Create and maintain PCB component libraries within the PCB CAD and PLM systems.
- Responsible for complete documentation package including BOM, layout, fabrication & assembly drawings
- Coordinate with PCB vendors to select proper materials and components, stack-ups, obtain impedance specifications, DFX rulesets, assembly requirements and resolve any manufacturing related issues
- Review and recommend improvements in existing designs.
- Troubleshooting and doing RCA for faulty PCB boards and provide solutions
Assist in preparing test procedures and developing test fixtures to verify pcb functions

**Skills Required**:

- Experience in RF design.
- Experience in schematic designing for following:
1. MCUs (preferably STM32 family).

2. AC/DC power supply circuits and different power switching topologies like buck, boost and flyback.

3. GPS, GSM, RFID and/or Bluetooth.

4. Ethernet and/or USB.

5. Amplifier circuits.
- Good understanding of design requirements for serial communications like UART, SPI, I2C and CAN.
- Understanding of mixed signal systems schematic designing.
- Experience in component selection and module level testing.
- Hands-on experience in schematic and/ or layout design with PCB CAD software like EAGLE or ALTIUM
- Experience in PCB layout design constraints for mixed/RF signal, signal impedance control, memory interfaces, power distribution, heat dissipation, and optimization for EMI performance
- Knowledge of PCB standards related to EMI/EMC, DFM, DFT, Signal integrity, analog & digital circuit, high speed and IPC
- Development and maintenance of creating schematic symbols and PCB footprints in PCB CAD component libraries within the company's PLM system
- Design and Development expertise in PCB design tool for multi-layer control circuitry.

**Additional Technical skills**:

- Knowledge of firmware development on arduino and ARM based microcontrollers
- Knowledge of serial communication protocols like UART, I2C, SPI
- Knowledge of timers, counters, interrupts, rtc and wdt
