Job Description: Junior Lecturer - Chemistry

Position Overview

The Junior Lecturer in Chemistry is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to undergraduate students, fostering a strong foundation in chemical principles, and supporting academic excellence through teaching, mentoring, and departmental activities.

Key Responsibilities
- **Teaching & Instruction**:

- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Analytical).
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- **Student Support**:

- Guide and mentor students in academic and career development.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and lab work.
- Provide remedial support for students needing extra help.
- **Academic Contribution**:

- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
- Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, and departmental events.
- Engage in continuous professional development and research activities.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain attendance records, grade sheets, and student progress reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues on departmental tasks and committees.
- Support accreditation and quality assurance processes.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field (M.Sc. Chemistry).
- NET/SET qualification preferred (as per UGC norms).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with modern teaching tools and digital platforms.

Work Schedule
