**Position Title**: VMC Machine Programmer and Operator

**Key Responsibilities**:
Set up and operate VMC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, tapping, and turning.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) specifications.

Program machines using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Gibbs CAM) based on job requirements.

Select and modify cutting tools and tool paths to optimize machining processes.

Monitor machine operations to ensure parts conform to quality standards and tolerances.

Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure operational efficiency.

Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize and manage workload effectively.

Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
Proven experience as a VMC machine programmer and operator in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in setting up, programming, and operating vertical machining centres (VMC).

Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and the ability to read technical drawings.

Ability to perform quality control checks and measurements using precision measuring instruments.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine errors effectively.

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality machined parts.

**Education and Experience**:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in machining or a related field preferred.
