**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Evaluate incidents/defects, investigate, identify root cause and come up with solutions to address them
- Gather and analyze business requirements and transform them into innovative BI solutions
- Hands-on development of attributes, facts, dimensions, transformations, dynamic dashboards, grids, graphs, scorecards, and statistical reporting
- Project setup, schema creation, development of queries, documents and dashboard
- Optimize, analyze, and improve database SQL performance
- Develop and tune queries for ad hoc, canned reporting, and dashboard use, with back end system
- Work with a small team of developers and delegate work as needed
- Train and mentor less senior team members in charge of the configuration and maintenance of the MicroStrategy environment
- Participate in data model design for the enterprise data
- Participate in establishing processes and best practices around development standards, version control, quality control, deployment, maintenance and change management
- Intelligent cube development, custom widget, visualization development and implementation
- Work with data warehousing concepts and techniques
- Construct and troubleshoot complex queries
- Lead performance tuning and stress testing initiatives.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 5+ years of MicroStrategy Administration in installation, configuration, and upgrade of software (server/client) components in enterprise network environments
- 5+ years of MicroStrategy architecture
- 3+ years of experience in BI report development, including tuning reports for performance, implementation of best practices, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts
- Demonstrated capabilities in managing multiple workstreams, developing project plans, estimated development efforts, tracking, and communicating progress
- Focus on automation by developing and utilizing Command Manager scripts
- Demonstrated experience with MicroStrategy development tools, including Developer, Web, Object Manager, Enterprise Manager, Command Manager, Integrity Manager
- Developed mechanisms and automation for deploying MicroStrategy projects and configuration changes across various environments
- Fluent in SQL, Python, or similar required
- Basic understanding of data modeling and design
- Experience in agile development teams such as scrum and Kanban, as well as DevOps development environment
- In-depth technical understanding of systems infrastructure equipment such as servers and storage systems, software including server operating systems, server virtualization platforms, and disaster recovery tools
- Ability to reason logically and creatively; to learn and utilize new technologies; to clearly communicate ideas and recommendations; and to write clear and concise reports
