Job Title: Laser Operator

Job Summary: A Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting and engraving machines to cut or engrave various materials, such as metal, wood, plastic, and glass. This role involves configuring machine settings, monitoring the production process, and ensuring the quality and precision of the finished products.

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup:Prepare and set up laser cutting or engraving machines.
Load materials onto the machine and secure them in place.
Configure machine settings, including power, speed, and focal length, based on the job requirements.

Material Selection:Choose appropriate materials for laser cutting or engraving based on project specifications.
Ensure materials are clean and free from defects that could affect the laser cutting process.

Quality Control:Inspect materials and finished products for defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies.
Make adjustments to the machine settings as needed to maintain quality and precision.

Laser Operation:Operate laser machines according to safety guidelines and procedures.
Start and stop the machine, monitor the cutting or engraving process, and make real-time adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure it operates smoothly.
Identify and address equipment malfunctions, such as cleaning lenses, replacing parts, or troubleshooting technical issues.

Programming:Use computer software to program the laser cutting or engraving machine for specific designs and patterns.

Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and protect personal health.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety goggles and gloves.

Record Keeping:Maintain records of materials used, job settings, and production data for quality control and tracking purposes.

Workflow Coordination:Work closely with team members, including designers, supervisors, and quality control personnel, to ensure the efficient flow of production.

Continuous Improvement:Stay up-to-date with laser technology advancements and techniques to enhance productivity and quality.
Suggest process improvements and innovations to optimize production.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical education is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Laser Operator or in a related field.
- Proficiency in operating laser cutting and engraving machines.
- Knowledge of laser technology, materials, and safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills for machine programming.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Physical dexterity and the ability to lift and move materials.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

A Laser Operator plays a crucial role in manufacturing and design processes, ensuring the precise and efficient cutting and engraving of materials. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
