**Role: Application Packaging Engineer**

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**
As a key member of the Managed Services and Operations team, you will be driving the standards, configurations, automation of provisioning, remediation, updates, and roadmap. While focused on Brennan IT's enterprise clients, your shared knowledge and standards will also support improvements across the entire desktop estate for all of Brennan IT's Managed Services customers.

This role requires someone that has the ability to solve the most complex, high-impact challenges faced by our customers in a timely and efficient manner, who is comfortable to establish the standards and best practice to ensure a reliable and consistent Application packaging experience for all of customers.

This is a pivotal role in helping us or the client with their current challenges as well as an opportunity to embark rapidly on a journey to a proper hybrid infrastructure where we can use the best/ correct approach (Application packaging) on a machine by machine basis.

**KEY COMPETENCIES DETAILS**

**Essential**

**This role requires the follow Competencies and Experience.**
- Minimum of 5 years IT experience
- PowerShell App deployment toolkit knowledge.
- Pace Suite, Admi Studio, InstallShield (Application packaging tool knowledge)
- Basic knowledge of SCCM
- Advanced skills in Wintel environments and broad range of technologies
- PowerShell, VBScript, or other similar scripting language
- Experience is acting as final escalation point for complex/high impact issues
- Root cause and problem analysis
- Conduct technical workshops with clients as well as internal stakeholders
- A “Do what it takes” attitude
- Industry based certifications
- Coaching and Mentoring Junior Staff

**Desirable**

**The following Competencies and Experience would be an advantage in this role;**
- Specialised Technical Skillset (SME) in Application packaging
- MacOSX and JAMF basic knowledge/support
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (Intune Packaging)
- Prior experience within an outsourced service delivery environment or MSP
- Working knowledge of ITIL concepts and methodologies
- Reasonable experience working with Cloud environments.
- MCSA Certification

- Industry based technical certifications (e.g. Microsoft, VMWare, EMC)
- Tertiary qualifications
- Advanced Industry based certifications
- ITIL certification
