**NHS 111 & Integrated Urgent Care - Telephone Triage Nurse**

**Are you a nurse with triage experience?**

**South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit several clinical telephone triage nurses to join our friendly NHS 111 team based in Bicester, Oxfordshire, UK.**

NHS 111 provides help and advice to people with urgent and non-urgent medical needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is free for members of the public to access either via telephony or online.

**The salary is CA$ 47,237 up to CA$ 59,191 per annum**

As a registered nurse working in integrated urgent care/NHS 111 you’ll manage urgent and non-urgent calls from patients, members of the public and healthcare professionals. You will use your professional and medical judgement either over the phone or via video link to assess patients/callers. Assisted by NHS Pathways, a clinical decision support system, you will make appropriate referrals and give health advice to enable patients to receive the right care, in the right place at the right time.

You will be working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary urgent care team including clinical and non-clinical staff, nurses, doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

You will work with a considerable degree of autonomy and therefore are required to meet the following criteria:

- Hold NMC Registration or be in the process of registration with the NMC and have confirmation of invite to sit OSCE.
- Current or recent clinical nursing experience with experience of patient triage in pre-hospital, primary care or an emergency department setting.
- Ongoing evidence of continuous learning/professional development
- Excellent communication skills and good telephone manner
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good level of computer literacy and competen in using IT systems
- Ability to work a shift pattern that will involve early, late and night shifts.
