Details:

- The person needs to deliver full life cycle software solutions for embedded industrial communication protocols.This position is responsible for the requirements analysis, design, implementation and testing for new product development, maintenance and handling of customer cases for existing products.
- This position should be able to trouble shoot issues and provide technical support for other development and test teams
- Needs to coordinate & collaborate with other technical development & test teams spread across in a global collaborative environment for timely approvals for deliverables, testing and to meet project milestones.
- Needs to be process oriented and should be well versed with ISO/CMM quality procedures. Exposure to working in agile scrum based development with continuous integration mode will be an advantage.
- Needs to be proficient in unit, integration and system testing, test systems set up, test automation and defect prevention, building test scripts, exposure on tools used for test automation.
- Knowledge on industrial product development life cycle is highly preferred.
- Needs to keep self up-to-date in technology trends, technical obsolescence
- Needs to participate and contribute in the product road map discussions with product management teams
- Technical risk assessment and implementation of preventive measures
- Need to work in close interaction with project managers and line managers to ensure that the teams keep improving the delivery capabilities

**Domain skills**:

- Industrial control & Automation, Industrial communication protocols
- Prior hands-on experience in EtherNet IP / IEC61850 / Profibus / Modbus TCP protocol standards and implementation experience
- Should be well versed in Industry 4.0 & Internet of Things
- Good understanding of cloud technologies, edge gateways & devices

**Technology and tools skills**:

- Strong experience in TCP/IP and network protocols
- Hands on experience -C, Strong in C++, UML
- Hands on experience in RTOS - VxWorks
- Hands on experience in development and testing of communication protocols stacks, product certifications for compliance with standards
- Ability to understand the protocol standards and convert them into SW design and implementation for embedded control systems.
- Testing, test tools like Lauterbach, ICE, Trace32, Test complete, Enterprise Architect etc.
- Static code analysis, tools like PCLint, Klocwork, Parasoft, Coverity etc.
- Hands on experience on using configuration management tools - TFS. Knowledge on activities like branching, baselines, code and design reviews process.

Work scope includes:

- Expected to perform work hands-on, as an individual contributor guiding the technical teams and providing mentorship.
- Work involves product maintenance, feature enhancements, feature development and product development activities including requirements/bugs/field defects analysis, impact analysis, design, implementation, testing and related documentation activities.
