SnowFlake Platform Engineer Chubb Analytics and Insights Platform (AIP) is a state-of-the-art Data Lake Analytics Platform using cutting edge open source and cloud data technologies. Our Data Lake Platform supports multiple Chubb business units executing Data Science Data Engineering and Analytics use cases. We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Platform Engineer to help support our Data Lake and Data Marketplace initiative. This Engineer will lead Snowflake capability and will cross-train a team of experienced Data Platform Engineers in SnowFlake. Role and Responsibilities ? SnowFlake Platform Leader - documents and enforces platform standards and best practices. Keeping up with Product roadmaps and upgrades. ? Automates routine tasks like Project and User onboarding support activities ? Cost Optimization ? Good working knowledge of automation tools like Jenkins ansible and powershell. ? Thorough understanding of Relational and No-SQL database concepts ? Monitoring Optimization and Tuning. ? Configuration and administration of Azure specific components like storage (ADLS) security (AAD) Log Analytics etc ? Integrating with Enterprise Security Auditing and Monitoring Frameworks. ? Backup Recovery HA and DR ? Working with Data Engineers and Scientist and Tech Leads for use case support and application onboarding ? Working with architects Tech leads in identifying and fixing issues and solution gaps. ? Working with Vendor for Level II support ? Identifying fixes for open-source software?s using community support. ? Mentoring and coaching junior staff. Your Experience Bachelor of Engineering or higher from reputed college with minimum 7 years of experience in Database Administration with at least 4 years leading administration teams in a corporate multi-project environment. You will have deep understanding of Cloud and Data Center operations Relational and NoSQL Databases Security storage and database server management. You should be comfortable with setting standards best practices for database services additional Azure Database experience is a strong plus. You will have experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery High Availability and Backup restore strategies. You will demonstrate strong expertise in hands on Database Platform administration and automation. You will work closely with peer administrators on enforcing right standards and procedures. You will work with Vendor support teams for Level II support Issue resolution and keeping up with the product roadmaps. About You: ?
