Primary and Secondary English Teacher Job Description Position Overview: The Primary and Secondary English Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in English language and literature, fostering a love for reading and writing in students, and preparing them for academic success. The teacher will create a dynamic learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and language proficiency in line with the school’s curriculum and standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in English language and literature for primary and secondary students. 2. Assessment & Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress through homework, assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback and reporting on academic performance. 3. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, promoting respect, collaboration, and discipline among students. 4. Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with school curricula and standards, adapting materials for different learning styles and needs. 5. Language Development: Focus on developing students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, including grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. 6. Student Support: Provide additional academic support for students struggling with English, offering remedial classes or one-on-one tutoring as needed. 7. Professional Development: Participate in teacher training, workshops, and ongoing education to stay current with teaching methodologies and curriculum standards. 8. Parent-Teacher Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians, updating them on student progress and addressing any concerns. 9. Extracurricular Activities: Lead or participate in extracurricular activities related to language arts, such as writing clubs, reading groups, or school plays. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications. Experience teaching English to primary and/or secondary students. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Passion for teaching and inspiring students. Skills: Strong knowledge of English grammar, literature, and writing techniques. Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners. Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom. This role is essential in shaping students’ language skills and fostering a passion for English, setting them up for future academic success.

Pay: ₹15,163.21 - ₹20,296.32 per month
