Medical Transcriptionist

A medical transcriptionist in a radiology center specializes in transcribing dictated reports related to radiology procedures. These reports typically include descriptions of CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging modalities.

**Transcription and Documentation**:

- Listen to dictations from radiologists and transcribe them into written reports accurately.
- Ensure the correct spelling of medical terms and adherence to established formatting guidelines.
- Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, coherence, and completeness.

**Medical Terminology**:

- Demonstrate a solid understanding of medical terminology related to radiology procedures, diagnoses, and treatment.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Conduct self-proofreading to maintain high levels of accuracy in transcriptions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to clarify and correct discrepancies in reports.

**Confidentiality**:

- Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and ensure the security of patient information.

**Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff to obtain clarification on dictations and ensure accurate transcriptions.

**Technology Proficiency**:

- Utilize transcription software, word processing tools, and electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

**Time Management**:

- Prioritize and manage workload efficiently to meet transcription deadlines.

**Continuous Learning**:

- Stay updated on changes in medical terminology, radiology procedures, and transcription technologies.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical transcription is a plus.
- Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist, preferably in a radiology setting.
- Proficient in using transcription software and other relevant tools.
- Excellent typing skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and radiology procedures.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
