Job description
**Responsibilities**:
1. Financial Management:.
Oversee the financial operations of the organization and prepare timely and accurate financial reports on various aspects of the organization;
Develop sound finance and accounting policies, systems, SOP and guidelines effective finance management and accounting in the organization;
Ensure all books of accounts are updated on daily basis, recording of all financial transactions of the organization in Talley software and other systems; and ensure proper maintenance of records for audit and verification by statutory authorities and donors;
2. Budgeting:
Assist in preparation of annual as well as quarterly budgets, monitoring of budgets, provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making, as well as formulation of policies and bringing improvement in the overall financial health of the organization;
3. Financial Reporting:
Preparation of financial statements, variance analysis reports, forecasts, Balance Sheet, Income and Expenditure account, Receipts and Payments accounts along with other schedules; ensure budgets and other financial information is correctly presented in financial and project management systems.Present financial information to management and stakeholders.
4.Statutory Compliances:
Responsible for all statutory compliances including FCRA, Income Tax, GST, TDS, Provident Fund and ESI (as applicable).
5.Audit and Compliance:
Coordinate with auditors and facilitate mid-term as well as annual statutory audits, timely compliance to audit queries and finalisation of annual accounts; preparing project audits and ensuring timely submission of project audit reports as per donor requirements;,
6. Internal Controls:
Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial assets of the organization and prevent possible fraud.
7. Donation Receipts:
Manage and process donation receipts including issue of 10BE as required in Indian donations. Ensure accurate recording and acknowledgment of donations.
8. Bank Transactions:
Manage cash deposits and bank transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain banking relationships.
9. Filing and Documentation:
Maintain organized filing systems for vouchers, receipts, and financial documents. Ensure timely and accurate filing of financial records.
10. Training and Development:
Stay updated with accounting standards and best practices.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
11. Trust Budget and Accounts:
Prepare and submit budgets and accounts related to trust funds.
Monitor fund utilization and compliance with trust agreements with donors, timely compliance as per specific terms and conditions of agreements;
12. Investments and Deposits
Ensure efficient management of all investment in accordance with laws and appropriate for trust funds, and deposit the certificates for their safe custody.
13. Crisis Management:
Assist in financial crisis management and risk assessment. Provide financial analysis and support during emergencies.
14. Other Tasks
I. Verify MoUs/Legal documents and project budgets with special focus on compliance to financial policies and cost norms of the organization;
II. Extending support and assistance to Administration and Programme Units on financial matters; providing necessary training and guidance;
III. Oversee the implementation of finance Policies, SoP and Guidelines and report the irregularities to the Director and recommend corrective measures.
IV. Any other tasks as and when required by the organization
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
