**Job Purpose**:
To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components on ships under construction, repair, or refitting, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret **electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings** specific to ship systems.
- Install, connect, and test **wiring, control systems, lighting, panels**, and **marine-grade electrical equipment**.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on shipboard electrical systems.
- Conduct **insulation resistance tests, continuity checks**, and **voltage measurements**.
- Collaborate with **engineering, mechanical, and welding teams** to coordinate integrated system installations.
- Ensure adherence to **safety regulations (e.g., ISPS, IMO, and marine classification society standards)**.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in **power distribution systems, navigation lights, emergency systems**, etc.
- Assist in **commissioning and final testing** of shipboard electrical installations.
- Maintain tools and test equipment and ensure proper storage and usage.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

**Required Qualifications**:

- ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Marine Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum **2-5 years of experience** in a similar role, preferably in the shipbuilding or marine industry.
- Strong knowledge of **marine electrical systems, IMO standards**, and safe electrical practices.
- Ability to work from **heights, confined spaces**, and offshore if required.

**Key Skills**:

- Electrical fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Understanding of marine codes and regulations
- Use of test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters)
- Wiring and cable termination (including CAT 6, if applicable)
- Team coordination and communication
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
