**Job Description** SQL Database Administrator (DBA) Job Description**

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases**.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
- Implement and manage database security, including user access controls.
- Perform regular database backups, disaster recovery planning, and execution.
- ** Troubleshoot database issues** and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
- Design, develop, and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, and scripts.
- Ensure high availability and business continuity of database systems.
- Automate routine database maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and business analysts.
- Document database configurations, processes, and best practices.

**Qualifications** Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- ** Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ** Experience: 5-8**years of experience as an SQL DBA.
- Proficiency in** SQL Server, T-SQL, SSMS, and performance tuning.**:

- Experience with database backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions (Always On, Clustering, Replication, Mirroring).
- Knowledge of cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

**Preferred Certifications**:

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator
