**Job Description: VMC Setter cum Programmer**
**Job Summary**:The VMC Setter cum Programmer sets up, operates, and programs Vertical Machining Centers to create precise parts based on engineering specifications. This role requires technical expertise in machine setup and programming, as well as a strong attention to detail for quality control.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Set up and secure workpieces and tooling on the VMC.
Install and align cutting tools in the machine's tool holders.
Calibrate machine settings such as speeds, feeds, and offsets.
Develop and modify VMC programs using CAM software or G-code.
Interpret engineering drawings to create accurate machining programs.
Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintain records of machining parameters, tool changes, and measurements.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating the VMC.
Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively.
Provide insights for process improvements.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
Experience as a VMC Setter and Programmer.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
Strong knowledge of VMC programming.
Familiarity with CAM software.
Basic machine maintenance abilities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in machining and familiarity with materials.
Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
**Education**: Diploma/Degree in Engineering
**Experience**: 3 - 5 Years
**Salary**: May commensurate with qualification and experience as per industry norms
