**Description**

**Job Summary**:
The Radiologist will be responsible for providing expert diagnostic imaging services and interventional radiology procedures to patients. The role involves interpreting medical images, such as X-rays, MRI scans, CT scans, and ultrasound, and working closely with referring physicians to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. The Consultant Radiologist will also contribute to the training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Diagnostic Imaging**:Interpret and report on a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
- Perform and supervise image-guided interventional procedures, such as biopsies, drainages, and mínimally invasive therapies.
- Provide expert opinions on imaging studies to support clinical decision-making.
- **Patient Care**:Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in the delivery of radiology services.
- Discuss imaging results with referring clinicians and, when necessary, directly with patients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient management and treatment planning.
- **Education and Training**:Mentor and supervise junior radiologists, radiology residents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide teaching sessions and contribute to the continuous medical education of the department.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiology and integrate them into clinical practice.
- **Quality Assurance and Improvement**:Participate in regular audits and quality assurance programs to maintain high standards in radiology services.
- Implement and adhere to best practices in radiation safety and patient care.
- Contribute to the development and revision of departmental protocols and guidelines.
- **Research and Development**:Engage in research activities and contribute to scientific publications in the field of radiology.
- Participate in clinical trials and studies, as appropriate, to advance the field of diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- **Education**:MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Postgraduate qualification in Radiology (e.g., FRCR, MD, DNB) or equivalent.
