**About the role**:
The International Forum for Environment, Sustainability and Technology (iFOREST), a New Delhi-based environmental research and innovation organization, is looking for a Research Associate to support the ongoing research projects in energy, climate change, and Just Transition in Jharkhand.

**Domains**:

- Just Transition
- Clean Energy and Climate Change

**Educational Qualification**:
Students with a master’s degree in public policy or economics or energy studies are encouraged to apply.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- 1-3 years of experience in a relevant domain
- Conceptual and practical domain knowledge
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capacity.

**Preferred requirements**:

- Conceptual understanding of governance and public policy
- Experience in research, project design, strategy, and execution
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods

**Job Functions**:

- Secondary and primary research
- Policy and data analysis
- Stakeholder consultations, fieldwork, and expert engagement
- Good understanding of different data sources, especially socio-economic data and energy sector data for India, both national and state level
- Collaborate and support research teams internally
- Write research reports, publications or other forms of dissemination materials
- Attend, present and actively participate in conferences on relevant issues and policy developments
- Liaising with government and non-government entities

**Remuneration**: Based on competency and capabilities.

**Location**:Ranchi, Jharkhand

**Duration**:1 Year (Term Hire extendable on the bases of project requirement)
