TKG builds on trusted open source and community projects and delivers an engineered and supported Kubernetes platform for end users and partners. You'll get opportunities to work with engineering teams across our products to solve challenging problems, design, automate and implement a framework and automation for Tanzu Kubernetes Platform solutions to accelerate our rate of development and release

**Success in the Role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**
- ** Collaboration**:You will be collaborating with and building relationships across engineering teams.
- ** Tanzu Kubernetes Platform End to End System Test charter**:Define and implement an end-to-end System Test scenarios which clearly depicts how customer would be implementing the Tanzu products. Develop and maintain solid test framework along with required automation of the workflows
- ** Team Growth Mindset**:You will be an active member of the TKP Tools, Automation team, helping and learning from other team members is vital to the success of someone in this role.
- ** Customer first approach**: You will be the voice of our customers for the team. As a staff quality and test architect, you will define the testing strategies and end-to-end workflows based on various customer personas primarily of App developer and App Operators across all Tanzu products. The success in this role would be measured by having lesser number of customer escalation in 6-12 months.

**What type of work will you be doing? What assignments or requirements will you be performing on a regular basis?**
- You will interface with engineering teams, field, and support personnel to help identify and refine relevant test coverage.
- You will work with different internal customer facing teams, understanding the different deployment scenarios, upgrade paths and dependencies.
- You will spend a significant amount of your time understanding how the various components of our product fit together with particular attention to the testing and quality.
- Track new product feature and design changes and implement corresponding testing strategies.
- Build rapid prototypes and work on fast-paced projects
- Collaborate with internal teams to solve issues involving test automation.
- Mentor, provide direction and guidance to junior engineers and new hires in the team.
- Work in a distributed team across multiple geographical locations and time zones.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and/or other cloud deployment technologies
- Demonstrate programming fundamentals, preferably with experience in Go Lang, and one or more Go-based test frameworks (Ginkgo, Testify, XUnit or similar)
- Experience in building an extensible, config driven, pluggable and modular test automation framework
- Experience with automation tools and technologies (i.e. Git, Terraform, Tekton, Ansible)
- Hands on experience in developing performance test framework
- Familiarity with one or more CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, Circle CI or similar.
- Ability to ramp-up quickly and contribute to a production codebase
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
- Experience working with remote and offshore teams along with customer facing teams like sales engineers, customer advocates.
