**Job Description: QA Engineer Intern**

**Your responsibilities**

Brief: We are looking for an intern to help develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure Ambee’s product quality. The responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts). You will also be trained to monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet our quality standards.
- Modify and execute test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when defects are resolved
- Monitor debugging process results, log bugs, maintain issues list
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

**What we’re looking for?**
- Knowledge of Python scripting and Shell scripting
- A good understanding of automation tools is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of Appium and/or any mobile automation tool
- Familiarity with software QA methodologies, CI-CD, and processes
- Skills in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Strong knowledge of both white box and black box testing
- Experience with automated testing tools and load testing tools like Apache Jmeter
- Sound understanding of the Agile/Scrum development process
- A basic understanding of performance and/or security testing is a plus
