Responsibilities:
**Patient Care and Treatment**:
- Conduct routine dental check-ups, examinations, and assessments to evaluate oral health conditions.
- Diagnose and treat dental conditions, such as tooth decay, gum disease, and oral infections.
- Perform dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
- Administer anesthetics and prescribe medications for pain management or infection control.
**Treatment Planning and Consultation**:
- Create treatment plans based on patients' oral health needs, considering factors such as medical history, X-rays, and clinical examinations.
- Explain treatment options, procedures, and associated costs to patients, ensuring they have a clear understanding and providing guidance for their decision-making.
- Collaborate with specialists, such as orthodontists, periodontists, and oral surgeons, to coordinate comprehensive dental care for patients requiring specialized treatments.
**Preventive Care and Oral Health Education**:
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and diet recommendations for optimal dental health.
- Provide guidance on lifestyle habits that impact oral health, such as tobacco use and diet choices.
- Offer advice on dental care during specific life stages, such as pregnancy or orthodontic treatment.
**Dental Records and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Use dental software or practice management systems to record patient information, treatment details, and billing.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and patient confidentiality.
**Dental Equipment and Sterilization**:
- Use and maintain dental equipment, instruments, and materials in accordance with safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, surfaces, and treatment areas to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Monitor and order dental supplies and materials, ensuring availability for efficient dental procedures.
**Professional Development**:
- Stay updated on advancements in dental techniques, materials, and technologies through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Participate in dental conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Maintain professional affiliations and licensure requirements, adhering to ethical and legal standards in dental practice.
**Requirements**:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Valid dental license to practice dentistry in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience as a dentist, preferably in a clinical or private practice setting.
- In-depth knowledge of oral health, dental procedures, and treatment techniques.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating dental conditions, including restorative and preventive dentistry.
- Excellent clinical and manual dexterity skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and specialists.
- Ability to empathize with patients, addressing their concerns and alleviating dental anxiety.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate dental records and documentation.
- Commitment to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe dental environment.
**Salary**: ₹250,000.00 - ₹280,000.00 per month
