As a Tamil Short Story Writer, you will be responsible for creating captivating and engaging short stories in the Tamil language. Your role will involve developing unique plotlines, creating well-rounded characters, and crafting compelling narratives that resonate with readers. Your creativity, command of the Tamil language, and storytelling skills will be essential in delivering high-quality short stories.

**Responsibilities**:
Develop original ideas and concepts for Tamil short stories that appeal to a wide range of readers.

Create engaging plotlines, compelling characters, and well-structured narratives within the constraints of the short story format.

Conduct research, if necessary, to gather relevant information or insights for story development.

Write and edit short stories in the Tamil language, ensuring accuracy, coherence, and attention to detail.

Use descriptive language, imagery, and literary techniques to enhance the impact and emotional resonance of the stories.

Adapt writing style and tone based on the target audience and genre requirements.

Revise and refine stories based on feedback from editors, peers, or readers, incorporating constructive criticism effectively.

Meet deadlines for story submissions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Stay updated on contemporary Tamil literature, trends, and themes to maintain relevance and freshness in storytelling.

Collaborate with editors, publishers, or literary agents to finalize and publish the short stories, if applicable.

**Requirements**:
Proficiency in the Tamil language, with excellent writing skills and a strong command of grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.

Passion for storytelling and a creative imagination to develop unique and engaging plotlines.

Knowledge and understanding of the conventions and techniques of short story writing.

Ability to create relatable and well-rounded characters that resonate with readers.

Strong attention to detail, with a focus on crafting coherent narratives and maintaining consistency.

Excellent research skills to gather information or insights for story development, if necessary.

Ability to accept and incorporate feedback and revisions effectively.

Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with digital writing tools and platforms for writing, editing, and submitting work.

Prior experience in writing short stories, creative writing, or publishing, preferably in the Tamil language, is preferred but not required.

A portfolio or samples of previously written short stories in Tamil would be beneficial for evaluation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 5 per week

**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹38,930.52 per month
