**JOB PURPOSE:

DP World is looking for an experienced data scientist to help build its B2B, B2C and B2B2C ecommerce products, and its end-to-end logistics solutions. With its extensive network of logistics and economic zones, DP world seeks to position inventory from sources in the economic zones and use its logistics network to be able to connect buyers and sellers, enabling the delivery of goods to happen much faster and cheaper than if it were coming from the seller. We are also looking to build white-label solutions to provide online presences for well-known shopping malls and brands.

In this role, you will be a key member of the Analytics team. You will analyse the massive amount of data and develop algorithms and models for data-driven decision making across growth and optimization business problems. You will work in close partnership with the business unit and product heads.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Primary Accountabilities:

- End-to-end ownership of data analytics and data science workstreams
- Act as a front runner and take ownership in projects involving data science
- Work closely with the Business, Product and Technology teams to develop world class systems and processes.
- Build, maintain and improve complex data analysis & models that help our senior management track their business and take strategic decisions
- Leverage business context and objectives, to develop, implement, fetch and measurement data plan
- Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
- Simplify and automate day to day work stream.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities and understand how our users interact with our products through systematic and rigorous measurement and analysis.
- Develop a deep understanding of specific areas of the business and the key metrics to measure the performance of the product.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

- **
- 2-5 years of experience in building and implementing data science models
- Strong statistics and ML knowledge - regression, classification (Neural networks, logistic regression, naïve bayes etc.), AB testing and more
- Strong knowledge of either R and/or Python
- Strong knowledge of Excel, SQL
- Experience in data mining and data analytics
- Experience in extracting, transforming the data and making a presentable analysis for a given problem
- Willingness to learn and adopt best practices in statistics, BI, predictive modelling and ML
