**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Medical Coding**: Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes to medical diagnoses, procedures, and services based on clinical documentation.
- **Medical Billing**: Generate and submit claims to insurance companies and government programs, ensuring compliance with payer-specific guidelines.
- **Claims Management**: Review and resolve billing discrepancies or claim denials. Ensure proper follow-up on unpaid claims and work with insurance companies to facilitate timely payments.
- **Compliance**: Stay updated with current medical coding and billing regulations, including HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT, and payer-specific rules.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all coding and billing activities. Ensure complete and correct documentation to avoid discrepancies.

- **Quality Assurance**: Perform routine quality checks on coding and billing entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is highly preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and coding, preferably with exposure to U.S. healthcare systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and common procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software (e.g., Epic, 3M, NextGen).
- **Skills**:

- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Ability to read and interpret clinical records to ensure correct coding.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- **Other**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
