- **Store appearance**: Keeping the store clean, organized, and visually appealing
- **Staffing**: Recruiting, hiring, training, and disciplining employees
- **Scheduling**: Creating employee schedules and assigning responsibilities
- **Sales**: Setting sales quotas and performance management based on metrics
- **Customer service**: Responding to customer complaints and comments, and ensuring exceptional customer service
- **Security**: Implementing security systems and measures to protect employees and customers
- **Health and safety**: Ensuring standards for health and safety are met
- **Budgeting**: Preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances
- **Promotions**: Organizing special promotions, displays, and events
