Role Description

As a Design Intern at Pocketful of Cherrie, you will gain hands-on exposure to the entire design process — from research and conceptualization to sampling and execution. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in research and documentation of designs, silhouettes, embroideries, fabrics, and inspirations.

Creating detailed design boards, technical flats, and CAD illustrations to support the design process.

Coordinating with in-house kaarigars and external vendors for sample development, ensuring timely execution.

Supporting print and surface development, including artwork preparation and approvals.

Sourcing and selecting trims, embellishments, fabrics, and other materials in line with design requirements.

Maintaining and organizing fabric/trim archives, mood boards, and design libraries.

Supporting fittings, sample trials, and documenting changes for production accuracy.

Preparing tech packs and spec sheets for production handovers.

Assisting in the creation of collection lookbooks, line sheets, and presentation decks.

Tracking sample progress, updating design calendars, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Collaborating with the design and production team to ensure design intent is maintained through final execution.

Assisting in backstage/showroom coordination during photoshoots, fashion shows, or client presentations.

**Qualifications**:
Strong graphic design skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Ability to create eye-catching illustrations and CADs.

Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design (completed or pursuing final year).
