Job Summary
Development and implementation of modification proposals to enhance the operational efficiency, system reliability and reduce operation cost. Formulation of maintenance strategy for Control & Instrumentation systems. Overall supervision and guidance to the team to achieve an efficient and reliable performance of the C&I system. To ensure availability of critical spares to minimize breakdown time and to maximize availability of the C&I systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure maximum availability of the critical C & I systems comprising of DCS/PLCs, various field instruments and communication systems.
2. Ensure availability of all critical equipment and reduce down time to increase availability of plant.
3. Develop the suitable maintenance strategies based on corrective, preventive, predictive and pro-active techniques of maintenance.
4. Prepare and adhere to standard maintenance procedures (SMP) for all C&I equipment.
5. Development and implementation of modification proposals for the engineering/design shortcomings to enhance the operational efficiency, system reliability and reduce operation cost.
6. To keep up highest level of safety standard at the work place and zero loss time injury.
7. Preparation of departmental budget and adherence to approved budget
8. Ensure highest efficiency and availability of fuel control & measurement equipment to achieve highest overall fuel efficiency of the plant.
9. Ensure the availability and automation of supportive systems like Fire Detection, HVAC, EPABX, CCTV systems and environment parameters.
10. Implement, adhere to IMS and OHSAS policies.
11. 24 x 7 operational support and immediate response to any faults or difficulties faced by Operation wing.
12. Ensure NIL Tripping of unit due to electrical faults.
13. Ensure availability of critical spares in order to minimize mean time to repair.
14. Adhere to organizational procedures issued by the management.
15. Planning for Preventive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring of Equipment.
16. Attend all service request within the SLAs
17. Organize Knowledge Sharing Session among the team members to enhance knowledge and skill.
18. Facilitate adequate training (on/off the job) for the team members.
