**The Role**

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, cost control, policy governance and security.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure services in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
- Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, and PowerShell to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments.
- Optimize cloud and on-premises environments’ performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss.
- Design, configure, and deploy Azure Site Recovery Services for business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
- Implement Azure cloud security best practices with Azure Active Directory, RBAC, Key Vault, and server hardening. Complete required security training and alert others to security concerns and/or incidents.
- Provide Level 3 support for Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory/Azure AD, and Office 365.
- Develop an understanding of cross-functional processes to support partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to a positive and effective team environment by sharing information with others, participating in regular team meetings, asking questions, and staying apprised of the status of others’ work.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and support information, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
- Provide technical summaries, Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Participate in monthly maintenance windows and on-call rotation shifts during non-standard business hours, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience as a Cloud Architect in deploying, migrating, and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud technologies in large-scale cloud and enterprise environments.
- Thorough knowledge of DevOps practices, including Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, CI/CD pipelines, test plans, and artifacts.
- Hands-on experience with managing Infrastructure as Code including DevOps, Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong background and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Servers, O365, Active Directory/Azure AD, Exchange (On-Prem/O365/Hybrid), and RDS.
- Proficiency in a wide range of IT
